Join us for the Bay Area Giving Summit, an evening designed to reconnect us with one another and explore how fellow philanthropists are nurturing vibrant communities across the Bay Area.

In a time when the national and global landscape can feel overwhelming, this gathering offers space for inspiration, meaningful conversations with peers, and building collective momentum.

Complimentary valet parking.

Appetizers, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided.

Please register by April 16, 2026.

Each individual guest should register separately.

FAQ

What will the evening be like?
  • After brief opening remarks, we will have a couple of rounds of intimate table conversations organized by themes that attendees named (e.g. preserving democracy, solving housing and homelessness, supporting local arts, etc.). Guests will choose their own adventure – focusing on the topics most interesting to them.
  • We will hold an “inverse raffle” – awarding a few grants to local nonprofits selected by our guests!
Who will be there?
  • Both seasoned and emerging philanthropists. Donors who want to connect with their peers who want to do more to help our Bay Area community. Donors who are looking for inspiration!
  • Trustees of family foundations that have a Bay Area program
  • Some donors will have existing relationships with SFF via their donor advised funds hosted at the foundation. Others may be encountering SFF for the first time. We're excited to welcome a broad network of donors from across the Bay Area because we know building a better future in our community takes all of us throughout the region!
  • Some donors may wear multiple “hats” – serving on boards of grant seekers, for example – and while we welcome the richness of the multiple perspectives attendees will hold, this will be a “pitch-free” zone.
Why is San Francisco Foundation doing this?
  • Part of our mission is to promote philanthropy in the Bay Area. This is not a fundraiser – we know that great new things can emerge when people network and find shared interests. We want to provide the space for connection for those sparks to ignite.
What should I wear?
  • West Coast business casual. This is not a formal event.
What if I did not receive a confirmation email for my registration?
